Built on PING’s own stand patent, filed July 1988 and granted May 1989. The embroidery is the rare case where the bag dates itself: it was in someone’s hands for a 1990 tournament.

We could not identify the event. The Arizona Interscholastic Association calls its championship the State Tournament, and nothing from 1990 turned up under this name. The embroidery reads as printed above.
