The Golf Type I Register

Kept by The Three Cypress Club · Est. 2026

A public record of original golf press photographs: who made each one, when it reached a newspaper's files, and what the back of the print says. Kept in the open, so the next collector starts where the last one finished.

What gets an entry
Original press prints of golf, in our hands or seen at public sale, with the back examined in full.

How it is described
Exactly as the back reads: stamps, slugs, caption sheets and dates, including where they disagree.

On Type
We list a Type only where PSA or another recognised authenticator has assigned one. Everything else reads Not yet graded.

On the record
Each entry grows as we learn more: the paper it ran in, the page, the negative it came from, the hands it passed through. Where something is not known, the entry says so. Every claim is backed by the Provenance Guarantee. The prints hang in the Three Cypress Gallery at 1733 Abbot Kinney.
