Ping — Hoofer Stand Bag, Black Weave, 1996

Ping Hoofer, the original. Black with grey woven panels, the outlined PING wordmark down the side, Mr. PING on the ball pocket. It is the bag on the cover of PING's 1996 Golf Bags and Accessories catalogue, the year the Hoofer arrived as the newest of the Lite carry bags. The name comes from the hoof-shaped base, which spreads the grips apart at the bottom of the bag. Eight-by-nine-and-a-half-inch four-way top, dual straps, and the tan Karsten patch with the Phoenix address. The tan patch is what separates it from the Hoofer Two. Patch and base show honest wear.
